What You're Signing Up For

By adding a phone number as a notification destination in , you consent to receive:

  • Weather alert notifications for your subscribed locations and alert types
  • A one-time verification code when you first add your phone number
  • Service-related messages (rare, only when necessary)

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on weather conditions in your area. You may receive multiple messages during severe weather events. On average, most users receive 0-5 messages per month, but this can vary significantly based on your location and the alert types you've subscribed to.

How to Opt-Out

You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by:

  • Deleting your phone number destination from your account settings
  • Removing the destination from specific subscriptions
  • Replying STOP to any message
  • Contacting us at
If you opt out of SMS messages, you will no longer receive weather alerts via text. Make sure you have alternative notification methods set up.

Phone Number Verification

Before we send weather alerts to your phone, we require verification to ensure:

  • You own or control the phone number
  • The number is correct and can receive messages
  • We have your explicit consent to send messages

When you add a phone number, we'll send a 6-digit verification code via SMS. Enter this code in the app to complete verification. You will not receive weather alerts until verification is complete.
